I've noticed some discussion recently about perhaps we are being a little harsh on the treatment of players who steal.

The rules make it very clear about taking items that dont belong to you. The traps set to test new builders honesty will remain, if they are honest they wont take what doesn't belong to them. I'd rather catch them as soon as possible than find out months later what damage etc they have been up to. Below is the latest new builder to be caught.

The Chat filter gets them almost every time. Not everything the chat filter picks is viewable by everyone online. All chat filter output is indicated by [PwnFilter]

You may or may not have noticed but we've got a new way to access the site. It's now https://www.thatsnotacreeper.com (notice the s in https). What this means is that the connection between your computer and our webserver is now secured and encrypted. Why did we change? Apart from the extra security it provides, Google give (a slight) increase in search rankings to websites that provide a secure option.

Several abandoned shops have been reclaimed (no refunds), still a few more shops I may remove soon if they are not being used by the owner.

MMO stats are reset if you have not logged on for two months. This is not something I have set, its the default config setting for the plugin, highly probable that after 2 months players wont be back. It also cleans up the leader board removing inactive and banned players.

Mojang are apparently working on bug fixes now as there will be no new features added at this time. It shouldn't be to long now, I'm hoping we can upgrade by the end of the month. At the moment this is nothing to add about the reset as posted ...

As posted recently by Dinnerbone, no more new features will be added to the game at the end of this month, followed by bug fixing. So shouldnt be to much longer before its out, dont expect the server to immediately upgrade though, Mojang releasing minecraft is a separate task to craftbukkit being upgraded to 1.9

Please don’t give them items to make a tardis as soon as they join ..unless you actually know them. I have noticed for a long time that new players who try begging and scrounging for free materials soon as they join are generally too lazy to do anything themselves and the mostly likely candidates to steal from other players at the first opportunity.
